Stay at Home Lesson # 7: Lines and Designs Video Tutorial

Stay at Home Lesson # 6: Play Doh Food Sculptures

There is no better time to pull out the Play Doh than on a rainy day. We hadn't used Play Doh in quite some time. We decided to make some Play Doh food sculptures. A sculpture is a type of artwork that is 3 dimensional and pops off the page. When you are creating with Play Doh you are making sculptures.

Stay at Home Lesson # 5: Lego Sculptures

We can create sculptures out of Legos or any other type of block. A sculpture is a type of artwork that pops off the page or is 3 dimensional. When we are building with blocks, we are creating sculptures.
Challenge: Build a tower as tall as you are!

Stay at Home Lesson #4: Draw Your Favorite Toy

Today my boys and I drew our favorite toys. We used pencils, crayons, and markers to make our drawings. Artists use the world around them for inspiration and ideas.

Stay at Home Lesson #3: Earthworks Sculptures

Artists throughout time have made art out of the materials that surround them. I went outside to find objects in nature to create a sculpture.

Stay at Home Lesson #2: Disappearing Paintings

All you need for this lesson is water (we used rainwater), a brush, and a surface to paint on.

Stay at Home Lesson #1: Found Object Rainbows and Rainbow Drawing

While we are home, we can still be creative and be artists. For this project, we are going around our house and finding all the colors of the rainbow and putting them in rainbow order. Red goes at the top followed by orange, yellow, green, blue, and violet.
Once you have created your rainbow with objects, then draw a rainbow (and maybe add a sunshine!)

4th Grade Figure Drawing

4th grade students practiced figure drawing using mannequins.
