Stay at Home Lesson #17: Collage with Newspaper and Magazines

Collage is a great way to get creating with materials that you have at home. You will need glue, scissors, and an assortment of papers. Use whatever you have: newspapers, magazines, and recycled papers such as food boxes work great as well.
For my collages, I created imaginary places and fantasy lands.

A house with a stormy sky, raining            Working on my collage
                  strawberries.

A fish in a green sky                                  Working on my collage

A flower and a sun                                     Materials needed

Kindergarten Eric Carle Collage

Students watched Picture Maker which is a video where Eric Carle demonstrates his collage-making process for his books. Then we made "papers" just like Eric Carle and then students created collages from the papers that they made.
