4th Grade "Stream Life" Paintings

4th grade students at Becket Washington created paintings of streams which is one of the themes they studied at the Becket Outdoor Center this year.

Becket Washington "Pond Life" Paintings

5th Grade students at Becket Washington focused on the theme of "pond life" for their paintings.

2nd Gr Color Mixing

Students practiced mixing and inventing colors using a palette. They were able to take the information that they learned and show how to mix the primary colors to make secondary colors.

3rd Gr Owl Paintings

3rd Gr students created beautiful owl paintings by mixing colors on a palette. They were trying to capture the variety of colors in the feathers.

2nd Gr Big People Paintings

Big people paintings are created using 3 pieces of 18"x 24" paper. They stand tall and proud in the hallways! 

1st Gr Bird Paintings (In-Process)

1st grade artists learned how to paint a bird by first identifying the shapes that they see when they look at a bird. Then they added details such as feathers and additional color. After they painted their birds, they created an environment for their birds.
