Kindergarten Cray Pas Rainbows

Kindergarten students read: "A Color of His Own" by Leo Lionni and learned how to create a rainbow using the color wheel. They also learned how to blend color and create chameleons.

1st Gr Bird Paintings (In-Process)

1st grade artists learned how to paint a bird by first identifying the shapes that they see when they look at a bird. Then they added details such as feathers and additional color. After they painted their birds, they created an environment for their birds.

5th Gr Mosaics

5th Grade students learned about the history of mosaics and created their own.

5th Gr Group Mosaic

                  5th Grade Students at Becket Washington worked on a         

            group mosaic for the art show at the end of the year.

               

1st and 2nd Gr Self Portraits

Students learned what a self-portrait is and looked at examples of artists who have created self-portraits. Then using a mirror they created their own self-portraits.
